Hi, I’m Marcus, a professional photographer with many years of expertise in travel and commercial photography. Editing photographs is a huge part of photography, and I have turned thousands of shots into timeless masterpieces.

Editing is just like photography; an art form in itself. It requires 1000 hours of practice to get the gist of it, and 10.000 hours of hard dedicated work to master.

I fully understand you already master many other skills, and editing is not one of them. No problem, I got you!

Save immense amounts of time and let me help you with your editing. It doesn’t matter what subject, or if it’s just 1 photo, a photoset of 50, or even sets of 500+ photos. They can all be managed, culled, and edited by me.

This smartphone travel photograph of a taxi in Hong Kong, on a creative angle, has been straightened correctly, and I made sure the colors popped where they mattered, and made the blacks blacker to make the colors pop out even better.

I’ve traveled all across the world for over 20+ years. For the last 5 years, I’ve been traveling full-time and have photographed the most beautiful, fascinating and awe-inspiring places in the world.
The most rewarding achievement is by far to see my work being bought as a license by a big reputable brand, or see it hanging on walls as a premium print by modern art collectors.
The crazy amount of praise for my travel photographs is inflating my ego at times for sure, but I try to stay humble ;) — I know I have a long looong way to go before I can join the legends of the game.

For more than 7 years, I have shot about 60+ commercial shoots for a wide range of acclaimed international brands. From products to events, and from portrait shoots to gym shoots, I have covered it.
I have worked with dozens of brands to help them with their branding, their marketing, and of course premium quality stills of locations, people, products, and moments.

A little about me:

You’ll soon notice when talking to me that I’m relaxed, fun, ambitious, and open. You can talk to me about anything and everything. I’m an absolute professional in my work and focus, but I can also be very ‘gezellig’ (keep reading!).

I consider myself a world citizen, but I’m originally from the Netherlands, which means I’m absolutely Dutch, and the Dutch are open, to the point, honest, relaxed, and ‘gezellig’ (which means: fun, chill, open, and always in for a good talk).

In our chats, we’ll talk some chit-chat at first, but I will always get to the point to get back on track of making sure your photos get to the next level!

Adobe Lightroom is the professional photographer’s editing program.
A silly filter from like Instagram or Google Photos compared to a fully edited masterpiece is like comparing a sloppy fastfood place versus a classy Michelin-star restaurant.
Lightroom is the king of editing software and I fully control this powerful tool.
I am meticulous!
I make myself a double shot espresso, put my headset on with repetitive music, and I start editing for a long time! :)
I take about 5-10 minutes per photo, sometimes even 20 to 30 minutes!
My main thing is to make your photos come to live. These bland dull shots will be transformed into epic conversation starters.
For example: in my edits;
+ I make the colors pop in the best way possible
+ I make sure the photo is aligned straight
+ has no dust spots
+ has a subtle vignette if needed
+ has no blown out sky
+ is atmospheric and impressive
+ and so on (I do like 50 actions per photo!)
I also apply masking, which is a refined technique to improve certain areas of the photo (like making it lighter, sharper, darker, and more colorful where it is needed).
For portraits, I have some amazing techniques to make people look better in a subtle good way (without it being fake or unrealistic).
No, I only work in Lightroom to make your photo come alive. I can do many things Photoshop can, but I will never dramatically change your photo with this that weren’t there in the first place.
I can remove people in the background, remove dust spots and make some pimples disappear, but I do not service excessive Photoshop manipulation or AI-generated things.
Lightroom is more than enough to get the job done!
If the order is over 100 photos for editing, I ask a 50% down payment as a deposit.
Editing is a very intense long task to get done. I want us both to be aligned and happy before I start the process.
I have a certain style in my editing; colorful, atmospheric and impressive.
It might be that you dislike the edit I’ve done, and I can edit the photo again without extra charge (please be elaborate in your request about your preferred outcome to save us both time).
I promise you that you will love the edits I make for you. It hasn’t happened ever that someone had anything to say, so I have good faith that I will deliver a great edit for you!
For the editing: Look, you might not like the edit. Even when you asked for a retry, I didn’t deliver your exact vision. That’s possible and I will refund you without questions asked. And that’s why I will ask before I start your desired outcome, so we both are happy! :)
For the Lightroom course: If we don’t click after our first call, and you’re not happy with what you’ve learned in that call, I will refund your entire amount.
